We have been working on something for the last several months and are finally at the stage where we’re ready to test the system we’ve created.
After more than twenty years managing construction projects — commercial build-outs, residential renovations, and everything in between, sometimes as clients and sometimes as the trade — Alesha and I kept seeing the same thing over and over: communication breaking down between the clients and the trades, creating undue stress on all sides.
We have decided to tackle that very common problem by acting as the client’s representative in building/renovation projects AND offering a service to the trade industries to help them set up systems that keep everyone on the same page.
While talking through how we envisioned the business, brainstorming other ways we could help homeowners, the idea of a free maintenance calendar download came up. Then we started talking about how a lot of people don’t know how to do simple maintenance tasks, so we created a maintenance library—Central Texas focused—and from there it snowballed. We ended up with full blown Home Maintenance Plans and an accompanying app!
In short, Art + Craft is a home management company for Austin homeowners. We act as your Project Manager, your Maintenance Coordinator, and your Advocate with the Trades — so you can stop spending weekends worrying about your home and start trusting that it's being taken care of.
We built a Member App — the Home Tracker — that lives at the center of it all.
It's where your Maintenance Checklist lives, your Repair History, your Vendors, your Documents, and your Renovation Dreams. It's specific to Central Texas homes and is customizable to your specific home.
Before we open the doors, we are looking for five people we know and trust to use it for real. Not to test software — to actually manage their homes with it. Submit a maintenance request. Log a repair. Work through a seasonal checklist. And then tell us what's missing, what's confusing, and what made you feel like you were finally in control.
In exchange, we're giving you a full year of Managed Maintenance — our middle-tier membership — completely free. That includes the Home Tracker app, proactive planning support, and handyman coordination at our member rate. No charge. No auto-renew. Just our way of saying thank you for helping us get this right.
